Ad Campaign for Compacts

In an effort to put pressure on the Assembly and to encourage public support for passage of the gaming compacts that sailed through the Senate last week, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians of Riverside County plan to launch a “seven-figure” television buy in the state's major media markets.

Patrick Dorinson, a spokesman for Morongo, said the tribe alone would pay for the ads, although they refer to all of the compacts.
